The 5alpha-reduced compound 5alpha-pregnanedione (5α-P) present in milk is a direct precursor of dihydrotestosterone and may act through that pathway in prostate cancer, but 5α-P has also recently been shown to be capable of inducing estrogen receptors in breast cancer cells, upregulating cancer cells' sensitivity to estrogen.

2. Research suggests that acne can be worsened through dairy intake
The exact cause of acne is unknown, but there are a number of factors that can bring on acne or make it worse, including hormones, genetics, and emotional stress. Recently, dermatologists have taken another look at whether diet’s role in acne is a myth.
Several new studies have examined the possible link between diet and acne, particularly carbohydrates and dairy products.
The emerging evidence has prompted dermatologists to reexamine the possibility that certain foods can worsen or trigger acne.

During the last couple of years, increasing body of evidence are indicating another property of hormones in dairy products as possible impact on human health including the role of some estrogens and insulin-like growth factor-1 in initiation and provoking of breast, prostate and endometrial tumours.
The most important hormones found in milk and other dairy products by using a variety of analytical methods consist of prolactin, steroids including estrogens, progesterone, corticoids, and androgens. Moreover, the existence of other hormones such as insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) (3) and local hormones including prostaglandins (PGs) (4, 5), in dairy products has been reported. It has been assumed that most of the hormones are transferred into milk by diffusion.

4. When Whey Protein Powders Were Tested, They Found High Levels of Toxic Metals
They studied 15 protein powders and drinks mainly in the New York metro area or online and tested multiple samples of each for arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury. The results showed a considerable range, but levels in three products were of particular concern because consuming three servings a day could result in daily exposure to arsenic, cadmium, or lead exceeding the limits proposed by USP.
When these toxic heavy metals are combined in a product that is marketed for daily use, that raises serious public health concerns, especially for pregnant women, children, and young adults.

In Nutrition Therapy and Pathophysiology, Marcia Nelms, Kathryn Sucher and Sara Long Roth report that excessive whey protein intake may be especially dangerous for those who suffer from certain types of heart disease, as it may result in the development of abnormal heart rhythms and possible cardiac arrest or the complete loss of heart function.
Nelms, Sucher and Roth also note that taking whey protein in excess or for longer than six months can be damaging to kidney and liver health. They further caution that long-term, excessive damage to the kidneys and liver may necessitate the need for organ transplantation or kidney dialysis.

12. Dairy Products Increase the Chance of Developing Acne and Worsen its Severity
